28/04/2022Glamourdale is one of those dream dressage stallions...
Three strong gaits, with balance, a powerful upward canter, a harmonious body and ease under saddle... These are all characteristics that describe this stallion from the famous Lord Leatherdale x Negro crossing known for producing champions. His sire, Lord Leatherdale is the sire of great champions: Chippendale, Chapter Leatherdale, Everdale... to name just a few. His dam's sire, Negro, needs no introduction: sire of the multi-medalist Valegro, sire of Iveniz Texel, NMK Champion 3yo in 2016, grandfather of Jameson RS2 and Jayson, sire of Kjento, approved in the KWPN studbook with the highest scores ever achieved by a 3yo...
At the age of 3, Glamourdale was the KWPN studbook approval champion and finished 2nd in his performance test with scores between 9 and 8.5.
He continued his development at 4 and 5 years old and finished in the top 10 of the Pavo Cup final and 10th of the World Championship for 5 year olds in Ermelo.
In 2018, at the age of 7, he won his first international title by winning the World Championship for 7-year-olds with a 10 for his canter. The following year, he started the Saint-Georges level and the Inter I with victories in Compiègne and Aachen, with scores between 77 and 80%! In 2020 he ran his first Grand Prix with an incredible average score of 78%. That same year, he was elected Horse Of The Year at the KWPN studbook... A more than promising start to his career for this stallion who won the 4* Grand Prix of Opglabbeek a few weeks ago!
