Foals auction from the Westphalian studbook: Top Price sold for 61 500€!

07/06/2022

At the end of May, an online auction of foals was organised by the Westphalian studbook: a beautiful collection of 30 dressage foals, both horses and ponies, was presented.

The Top Price of the auction, a daughter of Bonds x Franziskus bred by Bernhard Ilting-Reuke, was sold to Sissy Max-Theurer for €61,500. The filly, Bonjour, is a granddaughter of Seniorita Meyer, who is the dam of the approved stallion Fynch Hatton, owned by Andreas Helgstrand.

The colt Kompliment, a son of Kjento out of a dam by Franziskus, was the second highest priced foal at the sale, selling in Germany for €27,500.

One filly was sold in France for €5,000: a daughter of Damaschino I out of a dam by Sandro Hit.

Of the 30 foals available for sale, 26 found a buyer, and of these, 5 of the 6 pony foals were sold. On average, buyers invested €10,740 for their dressage foal.
