EMIR R

Emir R is performing well in sport and breeding. Under Rolf-Göran Bengtsson, they have already put down quite a few fine performances, including Hagen, Amsterdam, Sommersted, De Lier and Rotterdam.  Emir R’s accomplishments in breeding have not gone unnoticed. For example, Novalène (mv. Lupicor), owned by the Sinkgraven family of Wildervank, became champion at the Central Inspection of Groningen. Emir R was top of the IBOP mares scoring higher than 80 points. Of all the daughters offered, all three scored more than 80 points. In addition, Emir R already has seven approved sons from his first two years.

If anyone still had doubts about Emir R’s ability, the eight-year-old Colman son certainly dispelled those last doubts with his performance at Jumping Amsterdam this year. As the only rider, Emir R, ridden by Michael Greeve, took on the 1.90m class in the RAI Amsterdam Six Bar Challenge.

Emir R gives his rider the feeling of unlimited power and that his victory in Amsterdam was no fluke was proven by Emir R one week later at the KWPN Stallion Show in Den Bosch. With just a few tenths of a second, Emir R finished second in the VHO Trophy.

Emir R is one of the last approved stallions from Stal Roelofs, the Den Ham-based stable that has left a strong mark on show jumping horse breeding in the Netherlands.

Emir R is the only KWPN-approved son of Colman, the top stallion who, in turn, descends from the Olympic-class stallion Carthago. Emir R’s dam, B. Termie R 23, passed her mare test with 88 points and holds the elite predicate. She competed in the sport at the 1.30-level. Her sire Rupert R (s. Mermus R) competed at the 1.60-level with, among others, Peter Charles in the saddle. Emir R’s granddam, the Voltaire daughter T.Termie 21, is a half-sister to the KWPN stallions Mermus R and Odermus R and the international show jumper Vainquish (s. Namelus R). In addition to Emir R’s dam B. Termie R 23, T.Termie 21 produced the Sam R son A.Termie, who has been ridden at the 1.50-level by several riders.

Official KWPN Inspection Report 2009:

Emir R is an honest and reliable stallion with a good attitude. He is easy to work with and has a fine mouth. Emir R jumps with good reflexes, a good leg technique, and good use of his back. He also jumps very well in the back. Emir R appears to be cautious and shows a lot of scope. As a show jumper, Emir R has great to very great talent and gives his rider a good feeling.

Foal Report 2014:

Emir R shows a uniform collection of ample and well-developed foals that stand well in the rectangular model with lots of charisma. The legs are correct and hard. The walk has plenty to good reach. The trot has plenty of scope with lots of suppleness. The canter is positive.
