• His dam SHELA, is the daughter of King, a piebald stallion at the origin of many colored strains. He is the offspring of Wanda, a mare who has produced many all-rounders, who compete in dressage as well as showjumping and eventing, like Iwan for example, who went all the way to the Grand Prix Saint Georges in dressage.He is also the son of Oldenburg's star stallion: Purioso, who is an absolute all-rounder who forms the basis of many showjumping and dressage bloodlines.

From 2019 to 2021, Lightning only did 3 short show seasons, yet he was very quickly engaged on 1m15 and up to 1m30 events even though he had only done a few tricks in his life.
